Chris and i have been together for eight years as of today. Yep it's our anniversary :)
We're not married (i may have mentioned that before) so other folk don't tend to pay much heed and/or buy us cards or presents, which is a bummer as who doesn't like receiving random gifts?! ;) but we try to make an occasion of it when we can, or in busier years (last year for example, when we had a 23 month old toddler and a 6 day old baby!) we at least acknowledge it to each other and take a minute to reflect on everything we've been through together.
It's been a helluva eight years actually, four house moves (!), four pregnancies, two children, a dog, a cat, one degree course and one diploma completed and another in progress, three funerals and a couple of weddings, and let's not forget we introduced our friends to each other so there'll be another wedding next year ;) And that's just the big stuff. To say we've been busy would be a bit of an understatement! They have, without a doubt, been the best eight years of my life.
I have no idea what the next eight years will hold for us, but i know that whatever it is, good or bad, will be made better by having Chris in my life.
